Privacy Policy

Effective 22 October 2026. This policy explains how Khalsa Migration handles your personal information.

Who we are

This website, khalsamigration.com, is operated by The Immigration Worldwide Pty Ltd (ABN 68 617 500 704), trading as Khalsa Migration ("we", "us"). Immigration advice is given by Sukh Sandhu, Registered Migration Agent, MARN 1384130. We handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs), and Sukh Sandhu is also bound by the confidentiality rules in the Code of Conduct for registered migration agents.

What we collect

We collect only what we need to respond to you and, if you become a client, to give you immigration assistance (APP 3). This may include:

  • your name, email address, phone number, preferred language, country of citizenship and whether you are in or outside Australia;
  • what you tell us in an enquiry, call back or booking request, or in a call or message;
  • for clients: identity documents, visa history, relationship, family, education, employment, financial, health and character information needed for an application.

Some of this is sensitive information, such as health information or criminal records. We collect sensitive information only with your consent and only when it is needed for your matter. Please do not include health information, criminal record details or identity numbers in a website form.

How we collect it

We collect information directly from you: through our enquiry, call back and booking forms, by email, by phone, in person, and through documents you give us. With your consent we may also collect information from others involved in your matter, such as a sponsor, employer or education provider. You can ask general questions without giving your name, but we cannot give advice on your situation anonymously.

Our forms include simple anti-spam checks: a hidden field and a timestamp of when the page loaded. These are not used to identify you.

How we use it

We use your information to reply to you, arrange calls, provide the services in your service agreement, prepare and lodge applications you have approved, verify identity as the Code of Conduct requires, keep proper records, send invoices and receipts, and meet our legal obligations (APP 6). We do not use your information for direct marketing unless you ask us to keep in touch, and you can opt out at any time (APP 7). We do not sell personal information.

Who we share it with

We disclose your information only with your consent or where the law requires or permits it. With your consent, this usually means the Department of Home Affairs, the Administrative Review Tribunal, skills assessing authorities, education providers, translators, and your sponsor or employer where relevant. Service providers who run our website, email and systems handle information for us under confidentiality obligations. Client stories are published only with written consent.

Overseas storage

Our website, including copies of form submissions, is hosted on a server located in Singapore. Our email is provided by Google, which may store data in the United States and other countries. Where you ask us to deal with overseas authorities or institutions for your matter, we send information to them at your direction (APP 8). This website loads fonts from Google and a shared navigation bar from caqagroups.com.au, a related CAQA group website; those servers receive standard request information such as your IP address.

Storage and security

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure (APP 11). Form submissions are delivered to our office email and kept in a restricted folder on our web server. Client files are kept securely, and access is limited to people who need it for your matter.

How long we keep it

  • Where advice was given (including an initial consultation) and for client files: 7 years after the last action, as the Code of Conduct requires.
  • Enquiries where no advice was given: 2 years, then deleted or de-identified.

Tools, automated decisions and AI

The calculators and checklists on this website run only in your browser. They send nothing to us, store nothing on our servers and decide nothing about you. Checklist ticks may be saved in your own browser's storage on your device so you can come back to them; you can clear them at any time. No computer program makes decisions about you that significantly affect you. Visa decisions are made by the Department of Home Affairs.

We do not enter your personal details into artificial intelligence tools without your written consent. Sukh Sandhu remains responsible for any advice, however it is prepared.

Client stories and reviews

We publish only real stories and reviews from real clients, with written consent that names exactly what is shown. We do not edit them in a way that changes their meaning, we do not offer incentives, we do not hide negative reviews, and we remove a story if the client asks.

Access and correction

You can ask for access to the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it (APPs 12 and 13). Contact our Privacy Officer at complaints@careercalling.com.au or call 1800 266 160. We respond within 30 days. If we refuse a request, we tell you why in writing and how to complain.

Data breaches

If a data breach is likely to result in serious harm to you, we will notify you and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) as required by the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme in Part IIIC of the Privacy Act.

Privacy complaints

Please contact our Privacy Officer first at complaints@careercalling.com.au, call 1800 266 160, or write to 2/10 Lawn Court, Craigieburn VIC 3064. We acknowledge complaints within 5 business days and respond in writing within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner. Complaints about a migration agent's conduct can be made to OMARA; see complaints and feedback.
