The rules we work by, written for families.
Every registered migration agent must follow the Code of Conduct for registered migration agents. This page explains its essentials in plain words. It is a summary, not the law itself.
What you can expect from us.
Each promise below comes from a section of the Code. The section numbers are there so you can check the official text.
Sukh Sandhu
MARN 1384130Registered with the Office of the Migration Agents Registration Authority (OMARA). Registration is personal: it belongs to Sukh, not to Khalsa Migration or The Immigration Worldwide Pty Ltd.
View the register entry Read the OMARA Consumer GuideYou see the MARN wherever we advertise
Sukh's MARN appears on this website, our letters, emails, business cards, social media and advertisements, next to the agent's name.
Code section 25You get the Consumer Guide first
We give you OMARA's Consumer Guide before we help you. It explains what agents must do and how to complain.
Code section 38You sign a written agreement before work starts
The service agreement names the agent who will act for you, sets out the work, the fees and likely costs, and says what will happen to your file. It is signed by you and by Sukh.
Code section 42An initial consultation is fair and clear
The first 15 minutes are free. Any longer initial consultation has a reasonable fee you are told in writing first. You are told Sukh's MARN. Any refund due is paid within 14 days.
Code section 43Fees are fair and in writing
Fees are a fixed amount or an hourly rate with a reasonable estimate of time. The Immigration Worldwide Pty Ltd is not registered for GST, so no GST is added. Likely costs paid to others are listed. You receive an itemised invoice before you are charged and a receipt after you pay.
Code sections 46 to 49Your money is kept separate
Money paid in advance goes into a separate client account with a financial institution, and comes out only under strict rules. No money for the work is taken before the agreement is in force.
Code sections 50 and 51A fair refund policy
Your agreement includes a fair and reasonable refund policy, and refunds are paid within 14 days of becoming payable.
Code section 52Commissions and conflicts are disclosed
If The Immigration Worldwide Pty Ltd or a related business receives a commission from an education provider, or there is any other conflict of interest, we tell you in writing who receives the benefit, who provides it and the amount or an estimate. You sign a statement that you received the notice before we help.
Code section 34No special access, no promised outcome
We must not say we have a special relationship with the Minister, the Department of Home Affairs, OMARA or the Tribunal, and must not say we can get you a particular decision.
Code section 26Honest advice, even when it is not what you hoped
We must not make false or misleading statements about your chances, the risks, our qualifications or the process.
Code sections 15 and 26Your information stays private
We do not share your personal information without your written consent. Client stories are published only with written consent.
Code section 35An interpreter if you need one
If you ask, we arrange an appropriately qualified interpreter. You may be asked to pay for it, and we tell you first.
Code section 37You know what is lodged, and you get a copy
We tell you in writing when anything is lodged for you, give you a copy, and tell you promptly about important developments.
Code section 39Your documents come back
Original documents are returned within 14 days of your written request.
Code section 54Written notice if we stop acting
If our service agreement ends early, you receive written notice, and we tell the Department or Tribunal within 14 days.
Code section 57A statement of services
You receive a statement of the services we provided. Without it, fees for those services are not payable.
Migration Act section 313Records are kept properly
We record our advice and your instructions, including calls, messages and web enquiries, and keep your file for at least 7 years after the last action.

What changed in 2026
On 1 April 2026 the Migration Agents Regulations 2026 replaced the Migration Agents Regulations 1998. The Code itself changed only in small, consequential ways. For clients, the practical changes are:
- The OMARA register now shows each agent's website address, mailing address and email address.
- Agents must hold professional indemnity insurance of at least A$250,000, through themselves or their organisation.
- Each registration year, agents must complete continuing professional development that includes both Ethics points and Code of Conduct points.
- People who give immigration assistance without being registered can now receive an infringement notice, as an alternative to prosecution.

If something goes wrong
Tell us first, and we will respond in writing. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to OMARA. The Consumer Guide explains how. Our complaints page sets out the steps, including the OMARA online complaint form.
About our earlier Code of Conduct page
Our previous website described the 1998 Regulations and the old consumer guide. Those rules no longer apply, and this page replaces that content.
